My offer for May 2009
My proposal for the month of May. A cover with maps of the Antarctic and Arctic regions, as well as a quotation from David Suzuki. The envelope is a #10 size and will have a block of 4 stamps featuring Canada's issues for this event.
After seeing so many wonderful blogs about philatelic covers, postcards and related items I felt that I could bring my own experiences and exchanges for all to see. I enjoy making my own covers and numbering them so that everybody who will receive these covers will now exactly how many there are around the world. I don't pretend to be an artist of any sort, but should we exchange covers you'll know that you have in your possession a piece that is unique and limited. Each month I plan on creating one design which I will present to you and we can communicate if interested. At the beginning I intend to limit my covers to 12 pieces of which I will address 2 to myself and 10 to the rest of the world. Do not hesitate to contact me if interested.
In May of 2008 I decided to start selling some stamps from my own collection, on eBay.
I soon realized that this was an interesting pastime, being retired, and maybe could even be turned into a serious business.
In February 2009 I decided to have my own on-line store and left eBay.
Although keeping my store I came back to eBay in May and put items on auction again.
With this experience I'll be able to give you and objective opinion about what to expect from an Internet stamp dealer.
